Martin said the work involves producing molds that are then shipped back to Accu-Mold which distributes them to plastics manufacturers in the United States that use the molds to create plastic parts, such as dashboard components, and toys like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures.
Accu-Mold is a 36-year-old, privately held company that designs plastic parts for various industries, including the automobile and furniture industries. It also creates the tooling to make those parts. Its 16 employees work out of a 10,000-square-foot building at 7622 S. Sprinkle Road.
